Betio Game Fishing Club Competition
The Betio Game Fishing Club holds a monthly game fishing tournament with weigh inns hosted at the Betio Lodge II at Betio in South Tarawa.
During the comp you can get to meet members and expats, enjoy some chatter and chilled beers. Membership fee applies for those who want to join in the competition; annual membership are $30 single and $50 family.

WW II Battle of Tarawa & Battle of Making commemoration, 20th November
WWII’s Battle of Tarawa and the Battle of Makin commemoration falls on every 20th November. The Battle of Tarawa commemoration annually takes place at Betio on South Tarawa while the Battle of Makin is also commemorated on Ukiangang Village on Butaritari island.
