Kiribati is nation of water with a jurisdiction (EEZ) of more than 3 million sq. km which covers more ocean than land. Out of the 3 million sq. km, the portion of land area combined is only 811 sq km (313 sq. mi) with Kiritimati Island aka Christmas Island in the Northern Line Islands, occupying 388.39 km2 (149.96 sq mi), the largest land area of any coral atoll in the world.
